ASH Bridge Grant
The ASH Bridge Grant demonstrates the Society’s commitment to enhancing the careers of those who are dedicated to hematology research. The $150,000 yearlong awards are granted to ASH members who applied for an NIH R01 or equivalent.
New in 2025: ASH Bridge Grant Eligibility Expanded Significantly
In response to the evolving funding landscape for NIH extramural research funding, ASH has made significant changes to expand access and eligibility for the Bridge Grant Program for researchers. Changes include:
- Previous recipients are eligible to submit a new grant proposal for funding.
- Individuals who had a proposal reviewed but not discussed can now apply under the standard application.
- Individuals who submitted a proposal and have not received a critique (for a variety of reasons) are now eligible to apply via a modified application.
- The institutional match requirement has been suspended and institutional support for applicants will be assessed via the institutional support letter.
- The limit on “other resources” has been increased to $500,000.
